The festival kicks off its 23 day’s fest from January 7 to January 29 expecting more than a million tourists from around South Korea. Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival is opened in every January under the slogan of “Unfrozen Hearts, Unforgettable Memories” at Hwacheon that has geographical feature of the fastest ice freezing in the country because of cold valley wind and clean water.
