Nick Symmonds [USA/1:46.54] placed first in Heat 1/6; Yuriy Borzakovskiy [RUS/1:46.14] in Heat 2/6; Abubaker Kaki [SUD/1:44.83] in Heat 3/6; David Lekuta Rudisha [KEN/1:46.29] in Heat 4/6; Kieberson Davide [BRA/1:46.06] in Heat 5/6; Rafith Rodriguez [COL/1:48.26] in Heat 6/6. Winner of Heat 4/6 also holds the current world record for this category. For nine days, the world’s finest athletes converge at the IAAF World Championship Daegu 2011 to break and set world records and personal bests.
