IAAF World Championships - Day 1
DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA - (R) Gerard Kobeane clinches the winner during Heat 3/4 of the 100 Metres Men – Preliminary Round of the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 at Daegu Stadium, Daegu, South Korea. Abdouraim Haroun [CHA/10.44 (PB)] took the lead in Heat 1/4; Chi Ho Tsui [HKG/10.45] in Heat 2/4; Gerard Kobeane [BUR/10.64] in Heat 3/4; Mohammad Noor Imran A Hadi [MAS/10.77] in Heat 4/4. Setting the world record for this category earned Usain Bolt [JAM/9.58] the title “World’s Fastest Man” since the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany. For nine days, the world’s finest athletes converge at the IAAF World Championship Daegu 2011 to break and set world records and personal bests.
